JEWELRY GUIDE
MAINTENANCE
Your jewel is made to last a lifetime—and beyond. With the right care, it can be passed on for generations. Use this guide to keep it shining.
Daily care
A little mindful care keeps your CdK piece beautiful. Daily exposure to creams, perfumes, soaps, and movement can take a toll—often without you noticing. Here are some tips to help maintain its quality:

Cleaning at home
In addition to daily care, your piece will benefit from some extra attention once in a while. A gentle cleaning can restore its shine.
(Note: This method is suitable for all jewelry except those containing pearls. Pearls are delicate and should only be rinsed gently with lukewarm water.)
To clean, use a soft toothbrush, warm water, and dish soap (but never a lemon variant).
- Soak your jewelry in a soapy solution for a few minutes.
- Use the toothbrush to scrub gently, especially around any settings and beneath stones.
- Rinse thoroughly with water and dry.
Gemstone check: If your piece includes gemstones, it’s wise to check the settings occasionally. Shake the piece gently near your ear; if you hear any movement, a stone may be loose. You can also press gently on the stone from above to check for stability. If anything feels loose, stop by and we’ll secure the setting for you

Complementary check-up and cleaning service
At CdK, we offer a complimentary service program to keep your jewelry looking its best. You’re entitled to five complimentary maintenance sessions, which you can use whenever you like.
Each session includes a deep cleaning and a careful inspection of delicate components such as settings, hinges, links, and clasps. If any issues are found, we’ll inform you and address them as needed.
We recommend dropping by for a maintenance service once a year. You can just hop by to drop off your jewelry, we will then either do it while you wait or ask you to come back in little while.
Do you have a question, or are you not really sure whether it is an issue or not? Please reach out to us! We are happy to help, and it’s always better to be safe than sorry. :)
