CdK Terms of Service

CdK Terms & Conditions

These conditions apply to any action taken to purchase a piece of the brand – Charlotte de Koomen, hereinafter referred to as CdK. By ordering an article we both agree to these conditions and we are responsible to follow them.

All legal relations are exclusively governed by the Dutch law.


Due to the nature of work and the special techniques that are used, all of the items are entirely handmade and therefore there will always be some variations between pieces. Each item can vary slightly from the photograph or from its original draft previously made. If, for any reason, you are not happy with your order or it doesn’t match with your expectations, please notify us within 7 days of receiving your order and we would be more than happy to exchange it for you.

In exception of the Bespoke items. Any item that is especially made for you, is non-refundable. These items are made to order and therefore exchanges or returns are not offered for change of mind.

Return or Exchange

Please notify Charlotte within 7 days after delivery at info@charlottedekoomen.com. We will provide you with the full address. Within 10 days, after receiving the jewelry, we expect your order to be back with us and we will review your returned item on the following:
– The item(s) must be in original condition and cannot been worn or damaged;
– It should include the original and undamaged packaging;
– Refunds will be issued excluding the original shipping cost. Shipping costs for returning the item(s) to CdK for an exchange or refund are not covered or reimbursed by us;
– If you are exchanging, you only need to return the pieces you wish to exchange;
– The item cannot be a custome made Bespoke item.

Please note we are unable to be held liable for the loss of your jewel(s) being returned. We recommend using a registered postal service to return goods, and keeping a record of the tracking details.

Cancellation of your order

If you wish to change or cancel your order please make sure to notify us within 48 hours by sending an email to Charlotte at info@charlottedekoomen.com. When notifying us later than 48 hours, it is possible that ‘the making of’ process of the item has started or the order is already on its way to you. This means that your cancellation will take longer to complete.

When it does happen that we sent out your order already, we will handle according to our return policy and all information stated in ‘Return or Exchange’ is applicable. Any extra costs made on shipping will not be covered or reimbursed by us.


All pieces are usually made and shipped within 21 days from when your order was confirmed. In some cases or during busy periods production can take up to 4-5 weeks. If you need a piece before a specific date, please contact Charlotte before ordering to ensure this will be possible. Every effort will be made to have your piece to you as quickly as possible.

Duties and Taxes

Occasionally, dependant on the country that you live in and the relevant import laws, other duties and taxes may be payable. As the recipient, you are liable for all import duties, customs and local sales taxes levied by the country you are shipping to; payment of these is necessary to release your order from customs on arrival.


As we hope this never happens, if you do receive a damaged package, or have fault occur, please contact us immediately at info@charlottedekoomen.com so we can personally assist you and sort out your problem as quickly as possible.


Repairs are available and assessed by per case. Please contact Charlotte and request your repair. Once we received the request Charlotte will assess the repair needed and advise within 2-3 working days. Before starting on the repair, Charlotte will inform you about the next steps and costs.


Should a purchased piece require resizing, please contact info@charlottedekoomen.com for instructions. Yourself will be responsible for all postage & redelivery charges for resizing. Resizing fee will also apply, this is quoted on a case by case basis depending on the piece. If you are unsure about which size to order before purchasing, please contact Charlotte for assistance.


Items like these ask for easy (and secure) payment methods. Soon we will be able to accept payments in many different and secured ways. Like PayPal, Mastercard, and Visa. At this moment an item can only be purchased via iDeal. Very safe, but very limited. We are working on it!


Any information provided by you is protected. We fully appreciate and respect the importance of privacy on the internet and will not share or sell your personal information with anyone. We may use your contact information to contact you about new products, features or special promotions. If you wish not to receive such communications, you may choose un-subscribe in our newsletter emails.

All pictures, promotional texts and images displayed on the website of Charlotte – www.charlottedekoomen.com – are copyrighted. These cannot be used by others without a written permission from Charlotte de Koomen or her team.

Use of the items & Warranty

All of the pieces made by Charlotte are fine and delicate and should be handled and worn with much care. The warranty is void if the product shows a defect which is caused by improper use, if you or others have made or attempted to make changes to the product or used it in a way for which the article is not intended. CdK cannot be held liable for any losses of complete jewelry or parts of the jewelry like stones or charms. A loss is always based on multiple factors and cannot indicate the quality of the work or the way it has been made by CdK.

We are also just human

Being able to make these AMAZINGLY beautiful jewelry doesn’t mean we are from outer space. Items or posts that accidentally show an incorrect price – and it’s clear that it is a mistake – we have the right to adapt. Even when you already ordered the article.
